The “City of Waterfalls” as Ranchi is famously called, enjoys nature’s generosity in its fullness. The capital of Jharkhand is a feast for your eyes and soul. Its geographical position and the dense forests around make it a beautiful place.
From Ranchi, on Tata Road near Bundu, stands the elegant Sun Temple fashioned in the form of a huge chariot with richly decorated 18 wheels (nine on each side) and seven life like horses ready to take off.
Built on the same architectural lines of Jagannath temple of Puri, the Jagannath temple in Ranchi is an equally important pilgrimage centre and major tourist attraction of Jharkhand. It promises to steal the breath of tourists with its holy ambience and peaceful environment.
Forty kilometers away from Ranchi is the small picturesque town of Patratu. The place is totally untouched and virgin in its lush greenery. The Ghat roads are blissful, and the drive is exhilarating. Pass through the Pithoria-Patratu valley, with lovely S-curves, hairpin bends, swooping corners and absolutely stunning views.
Situated at thirty four km from the city of Ranchi on Ranchi-Tata road near the Taimara village. The major water source of this waterfall is River Kachni, which falls here from an altitude of 144 feet. The unique feature of this fall is that when the waterfall is seen, 10 water streams are also seen falling.
